Frequently asked questions
Which industries does MapBoost manage Google Business Profiles for?
Any business with a physical place customers visit. The pages here cover cafes, dentists, doctors and clinics, gyms, hospitals, hotels, interior designers, lawyers, physiotherapists, plumbers, real estate agents, restaurants, salons and sports venues. If yours is missing, our team can still run the profile. See what we do.
Is a Google Business Profile for a local business free?
Yes. The profile itself is free from Google. What you pay us for is the work of running it, which our team does for you every week. Google My Business is the old name of Google Business Profile. Read our guide on whether the profile is free.
How do I get my business on Google without paying?
Create a Google Business Profile with Google, which costs nothing, then verify it as Google asks. We are independent of Google and do not create profiles for free, but if you already have one, we can show you what it is missing. Ask for the free audit.
Is the Google Business Profile service different for each industry?
The weekly work is the same: replies, a post, photos, profile upkeep and rank checks. What changes is the detail. Categories, attributes, services and the way a review should be answered all differ between a dentist and a plumber, and our team sets each profile up for the trade. See profile optimization.
What does Google Business Profile management cost for my industry?
The same for every industry. A clinic, a gym and a cafe pay the same, and each location gets the full service. India: ₹2,499* per location per month. Europe: €49 per location per month (or €39 billed yearly) + VAT where applicable. Rest of the world: $49 per location per month (or $39 billed yearly). Start with the free audit to see what your profile is missing before you decide. See the pricing page.
My industry is not listed. Can you still manage my Google Business Profile?
Yes. Any business with a physical location can have a Google Business Profile, and our team can run it. The industry pages cover trades where we have seen the same questions repeatedly. Ask for the free audit, and we will tell you what your profile needs. See the audit.
How do I find out what my local business profile is missing for my industry?
Ask for the free audit. Send your Google Maps link, business name, industry and city, and we return a report on your profile: what is complete, what is missing and what to fix first. It costs nothing, and you are under no obligation to buy anything. See how it works for owners.
Can a business with several branches in different industries use MapBoost?
Yes. Each location is one Google Business Profile, priced per location, and each is set up for its own trade. A group that runs a clinic and a pharmacy, for example, has two profiles with different categories and different review replies, all handled by our team. See pricing and billing.
Can a plumber or home-service business without a shop have a Google Business Profile?
Yes. If customers do not visit you, the address can be hidden and a service area set for the localities you actually reach. Our team keeps that service area, your services and call hours correct. See how this works for plumbers.
I lost access to my Google Business Profile. Where do I start?
Recovery goes through Google's own verification and ownership steps, and we are independent of Google, so we cannot restore access for you. Once you have access again, you add MapBoost as a manager, and you stay the owner. You can remove our access anytime. See trust and access.
Is Google LSA worth it for a local business?
Local Services Ads are a separate Google product that we do not manage. Google Ads for your Business Profile is available as an add-on; ad spend is paid to Google separately. We don't run social media ads. Our core work is the free Google Business Profile: replies, posts, photos, upkeep and rank checks across your area. That is what shows up when people search on Google Maps. See our local SEO service.
Which Google Business Profile details matter most for a local business?
It depends on the trade, which is why the industry pages differ. Customers usually check the right category, accurate hours and services, recent photos and recent reviews with replies. Our team keeps these current for you. Pick your trade, for example dentists, to see what customers check there.
