Frequently asked questions
What free Google review tools does MapBoost offer?
Two so far: a Google review QR code generator that makes a print-ready counter stand, and a Google review link generator that makes a direct link to your review box, with ready WhatsApp and SMS messages. Both run in your browser and need no sign-up. See the review link generator first.
Are these Google review tools really free?
Yes. Neither tool charges anything, and neither asks for a card or an account. We publish them so local businesses can ask customers for reviews properly. If you would rather not handle the asking and replying at all, our team can manage your reviews for you.
Which Google review tool is best for a small business?
The best one is the one you will actually use. A QR stand at the billing counter suits shops, clinics and salons, while a direct link suits businesses that talk to customers on WhatsApp. Our two free tools cover both, and neither needs an app. Start with the QR code generator for a counter.
Do the Google review tools need my Place ID?
Yes, they work from your Place ID, which is the code Google uses for one business location. Both tools also accept a Google Maps link, as long as the link contains the Place ID. Short share links do not. Our free audit starts from your Maps link and checks your whole profile.
Can Google review tools automate review replies?
The free tools here only help you collect reviews, so no. Replying is part of our managed service. Replies are written in your voice. Negative reviews are handled by a person on our team. That covers old unanswered reviews too. See our review replies service for the detail.
Are there Google review tools that ask customers automatically?
Yes, as an add-on. Our team can ask customers for reviews through WhatsApp, SMS or a QR code once we connect to your CRM or billing system. It is priced on a call, not at the standard monthly rate. The free tools on this page are the manual version. See review requests.
Can I see all the Google reviews I have left?
Yes. In Google Maps, open your own profile and look for your contributions, where reviews you wrote as a customer are listed. That is different from what the tools on this page do, which is help a business collect reviews from its customers. Our review guide covers the business side.
Can any Google review tool show deleted Google reviews?
No, and we do not offer one. Once a review is deleted, by the customer or by Google, it no longer appears on the profile. Owners cannot delete reviews themselves, but can report a review that breaks Google's rules. Our reviews FAQ explains what an owner can and cannot do.
How can I check if Google reviews are legit?
Look for reviewer profiles with no other activity, many reviews arriving in a short burst, or vague text that could fit any business. If a review looks fake, report it to Google, because only Google can remove it. We cannot remove reviews. Our team replies to the genuine ones. See trust and safety.
Is there a Google review AI tool that writes reviews for customers?
We do not offer one, and we would not. Reviews must come from real customers describing a real visit, and writing or buying them breaks Google's rules. The honest route is to ask every customer and make it easy. Our guide to getting reviews shows how.
Do I still need the free review tools if MapBoost runs my profile?
They still help. Our managed service covers replies, posts, photos, profile upkeep and rank checks, while the tools make it easier for customers to leave a review in the first place. A QR stand or a ready WhatsApp message costs nothing. Check the pricing page for what the service includes.
Do the free Google review tools work on a phone?
They run in the browser, with no app to install, so a phone browser should work for making a link. The QR stand is meant for printing, which is easier from a laptop. Nothing needs an account. If anything looks wrong, our team can help through contact.
