What is Google review management?

It is the steady work of answering every review a business gets on Google, the good and the bad, so each customer sees that someone is listening. On most profiles the gap is not the reviews themselves but the silence after them: dozens of reviews with no reply, and one angry review answered in a hurry.

We close that gap for you. Our review management service covers the replies on your Google Business Profile, week after week, for as long as you are with us.

12,284 Google reviewsacross the profiles MapBoost manages today. Every one of them is part of the work our team answers.

How does our team reply to reviews?

  1. We set your brand voice

Before the first reply, we agree how you sound: how you greet people, how formal you are, how you sign off and the words you never use. The voice is set per business, so a dental clinic and a gaming cafe do not sound alike.

  2. Positive reviews: answered automatically

A five-star review gets a reply in that voice that picks up what the customer actually said, not a copy-paste "Thanks for the review".

  3. Negative reviews: a person on our team

A complaint is never answered by a template. A person on our team reads it, writes a calm and specific reply, and points the customer to a way to sort it out offline.

  4. Old reviews: the backlog

We go back through the reviews that never got an answer, so the first page of your reviews no longer shows a row of unanswered customers.

Why reply to every Google review?

Replies are public. The person who left the review reads one reply; every customer who looks you up later reads all of them. A considered answer to a fair complaint often tells a new customer more about you than the complaint does.

Owners cannot delete reviewsOn Google, a business can reply to a review or report one that breaks the rules, and Google decides what stays up. That is why the reply carries so much weight.

Who is it for?

Any business with a physical location whose customers read reviews before they come: restaurants and cafes, clinics and dentists, salons, gyms, sports venues, hotels. It matters most when reviews arrive every day and nobody at the front desk has time to answer, or when a profile has years of reviews that were never answered.

Review replies are included in Single Business price. Getting more reviews in the first place, by asking every customer on WhatsApp, SMS or a counter QR code, is a separate add-on: see review requests.

Frequently asked questions

Who writes the replies to my Google reviews?

Our team does, in the brand voice we set up with you. Replies are written in your voice. Negative reviews are handled by a person on our team. You never have to draft a reply yourself, and every review on your profile gets an answer, whether it is praise, a complaint or an old comment. See how reviews are handled.

What is Google review management?

It is the work of answering the reviews customers leave on your Google profile, so that every one gets a reply, including old ones nobody answered. At MapBoost our team does it for you every week, as part of the managed service, without you having to open Google. See the full service.

How do I remove an unfair Google review?

A business cannot delete a Google review. A review that breaks Google's policies, such as spam, off-topic content or a conflict of interest, can be reported to Google, and Google decides whether it comes down. Nobody can promise a removal. A calm public reply is what the next customer reads. Read our trust and safety answers.

Can I get paid for Google reviews?

No. Google's policy does not allow paying for reviews or offering anything in return for them, and it does not allow asking only happy customers. We never buy, write or filter reviews. Our team only replies to the reviews your real customers have chosen to leave. Read our review request guide.

Do you reply to Google reviews that are years old?

Yes. When we start, our team works through the old reviews that never got an answer, then keeps every new review answered from then on. A reply to an old review still shows to everyone who reads your profile today, so it is worth doing. Start with the free audit.

What do Google review management services cost at MapBoost?

There is no separate fee for replies. Review replies are part of the managed service, together with posts, photos, profile upkeep, rank checks and the weekly report. India: ₹2,499* per location per month. Europe: €49 per location per month + VAT where applicable. Rest of the world: $49 per location per month. Asking customers for new reviews is a different job, offered as an add-on. See pricing.

What happens when a customer leaves a bad Google review?

A person on our team reads it and writes the reply. Replies are written in your voice. Negative reviews are handled by a person on our team. We keep the answer calm and specific, and we never argue in public. Only Google can remove a review. See how reviews and replies work.

Is there a free Google review management tool?

Google lets owners reply to reviews from the profile at no cost, so a reply itself is free. The cost is time: every new review, and every old one, needs a considered answer again and again. Our team does that work as part of the managed service. See pricing.

Does Google review management get me more reviews?

Replying shows customers someone is listening, but it does not bring new reviews in by itself. Asking customers for reviews is a separate job, offered as an add-on that our team sets up with you, and it must follow Google's rules. Read about review requests.

Does replying to Google reviews help my local ranking?

Google says reviews are part of how prominent a business looks, and replies show customers you are paying attention. Nobody can honestly promise a ranking from replies alone, so our team also checks your rank every week and reports what moved. See how rank checks work.

Can you reply to my Google reviews without owning my profile?

You stay the owner. You add MapBoost as a manager on your Google profile, and our team replies from there. You can remove that access anytime, and we never take the profile over. Nothing about the ownership of your listing changes when we start. Read about access and safety.

What does a reply to a Google review from your team sound like?

It sounds like you. Before the first reply we agree your voice with you: how you greet people, how formal you are and how you sign off. Each reply picks up what the customer actually said instead of repeating a template. Read about review replies.

Do you manage reviews on sites other than Google?

Our review work is on your Google Business Profile, where most local customers read reviews first. Directory listings such as Justdial are a separate add-on, and what else we can cover is best settled on a call. Read about directory listings.
