What MapBoost does
What our team does on your Google Business Profile, week by week.
What does a managed Google Business Profile service actually mean at MapBoost?#
It means our team does the work on your Google Business Profile, so you do not. We reply to reviews, publish posts, add photos, keep your details right and check how you rank. You stay the owner of the profile. Read the local SEO service page for the full picture.
What happens on my profile in a typical MapBoost week?#
Our team publishes a Google post, replies to new reviews, checks your rank across your whole area against nearby competitors and acts on what we find. At the end of the week a PDF report of views, calls, direction requests and searches reaches you on WhatsApp. See the weekly report page.
Which jobs does the monthly fee cover, and which jobs sit outside it?#
The fee covers review replies, weekly posts, monthly photos, profile upkeep, weekly rank checks, the weekly report and AI search visibility work. Directory listings, review requests, a local website and Google Ads for your Business Profile are add-ons, priced on a call, with ad spend paid to Google separately. Social media is not part of what we do. The services overview lists everything.
What does MapBoost never do for a business?#
We do not build review gating, or buy, write or filter reviews. We cannot remove reviews, because only Google can. We do not change business names or promise rankings, and we are independent of Google. Ads on Google that promote the profile are an add-on, with the budget paid straight to Google; social media ads are not something we run. Our review management page explains how we handle reviews.
How is MapBoost different from running my own Google Business Profile?#
You can run it yourself, but it becomes a weekly chore of replying, posting, uploading photos and checking rankings. With MapBoost our team does that routine for you and sends a short report, while you keep ownership. The difference is time and consistency, not access. See what the service is for a business owner.
What exactly is a Google Business Profile, in plain words?#
It is the free listing that shows your business on Google Search and Google Maps, with your address, hours, phone number, photos, posts and reviews. Customers use it to decide whether to call or visit. Each location has one profile, and Google ranks local results on relevance, distance and prominence. Our profile optimization page goes deeper.
Is Google My Business management the same thing MapBoost does?#
Yes, it is the same kind of work. Google My Business is the old name of Google Business Profile, so management means looking after that profile: replies, posts, photos, details and rank checks. MapBoost is a managed version, where our team does it and you do not need to learn anything. See our services overview.
Does MapBoost suit a business that takes calls and bookings more than walk-ins?#
Yes. A profile matters whenever customers search Google before they contact you, whether they then call, ask for directions, book or walk in. Our weekly report shows views, calls and direction requests, so you can see which of those your profile produces. Clinics, salons, gyms and restaurants are common examples on our industries pages.
Do one location and several locations get the same MapBoost service?#
Yes. Every location gets the full service, because one Google profile equals one location. A business with several branches simply has more profiles, each with its own posts, photos, replies, rank checks and report, and each is counted as one location for pricing. Our pricing page explains how that works.
Is MapBoost software that I operate, or a team that does the work?#
It is a team that does the work. There is no software for you to learn or operate. Replies are written in your voice. Negative reviews are handled by a person on our team. You receive a weekly report on WhatsApp and can message us whenever you want. See how it works for business owners.
What do the MapBoost add-ons do, and are they part of the monthly service?#
They are optional and sit outside the monthly fee. Directory listings keep your business details in sync across sites such as Justdial, Bing and Apple Maps. Review requests ask customers for reviews via WhatsApp, SMS or QR once connected to your billing system. A local website is built for you. Details are on our citations and listings page.
Does MapBoost work on how my business appears in Google Search as well as Google Maps?#
Yes. Your Google Business Profile is what appears in both, so the work on your details, photos, posts and reviews serves both places. We also check how ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity mention your business and improve it. We cannot promise where you appear. Read about AI search visibility for more.
Can I read my MapBoost data in Claude or ChatGPT?#
Yes, on Pro and Enterprise. You can ask Claude or ChatGPT about your own businesses, such as reviews waiting for a reply, ranking moves or the monthly summary, and work on the answers there. It is read-only on Google by design, and right now it is set up on request, on a call. See MapBoost in Claude and ChatGPT.
Pricing and billing
What it costs, how billing works and how to stop.
What does the monthly fee actually pay for?#
It pays for our team's work on one location's Google Business Profile: review replies, a weekly post, monthly photos, profile upkeep, weekly rank checks, the weekly WhatsApp report and AI search visibility work. India: ₹2,499* per location per month. Europe: €49 per location per month + VAT where applicable. Rest of the world: $49 per location per month. *Plus GST (India). The full table is on our pricing page.
Why does the MapBoost price carry an asterisk?#
The asterisk means the rupee price is before GST. GST is an Indian tax, charged on the rupee price, so invoices in India show the listed price plus GST. Dollar prices carry no asterisk and no GST. For anything unclear, contact us and we will walk you through an example.
Where does the monthly GST invoice from MapBoost arrive?#
It is emailed to you every month, so you do not need to ask for it. GST invoices apply to rupee billing in India. In Europe and the rest of the world, ask us how invoices and tax work before you start. To change where invoices go, write to growth@themapboost.com. Our terms page covers the rest of the billing details.
If I run two branches, how is the monthly fee counted?#
Each branch has its own Google profile, and each profile is one location, so each is charged separately. India: ₹2,499* per location per month. Europe: €49 per location per month + VAT where applicable. Rest of the world: $49 per location per month. *Plus GST (India). Every branch gets the full service, including its own posts, replies, rank checks and weekly report. For larger setups, get a call and we will discuss it.
How are add-on prices set, and why are they not listed?#
Add-ons are priced on a call because the work depends on your business. Directory listings, review requests and a local website all vary with how many locations and systems are involved. We would rather give you a clear quote than a guess. Use the contact page to book a call.
When is the MapBoost fee charged: before or after the month of work?#
Billing is monthly, in advance, so you pay for a month before our team works through it. A GST invoice is emailed each month for rupee billing in India. There is nothing charged for the audit, since it is free and carries no obligation. In Europe and the rest of the world, billing yearly is optional and lowers the monthly rate. See the pricing page for the billing terms.
How do I stop MapBoost, and what do I lose when I cancel?#
You can cancel anytime. The service stops at the end of the month you have already paid for, so you keep that month's work. There are no partial refunds, so cancelling part-way through a month does not return money for the unused days. The pricing page has the exact wording.
Which way can I pay MapBoost if I do not use UPI?#
In India you can pay by UPI, cards or net banking, all through Razorpay. Clients who are onboarded by our team can also pay by bank transfer. Payment methods for customers outside India are not listed on this site yet, so ask us before you start. If you need a different arrangement, talk to us.
After cancelling, can MapBoost still touch my Google profile?#
The service stops at the end of the month you paid for. You are the owner of the profile, and you can remove MapBoost as a manager at any time, including on the day service ends. If you want that done on a specific date, tell us. Our terms cover the rest.
Is hiring someone in-house cheaper than paying MapBoost for profile work?#
That depends on your business, so we avoid quoting figures. An in-house hire means a salary, training and cover for leave, and they would still need to handle replies, posts, photos and rank checks every week. MapBoost does that routine for a monthly fee per location. See the pricing page.
Does a tiny shop pay a different monthly price from a busy multi-room clinic?#
No. The price is the same for every location, and every location gets the full service. What changes is the number of locations, not the size of the business. Add-ons are separate and are priced on a call. You can see the managed price and what it covers on our pricing page.
How much does a Google Business Profile cost per month, and what is MapBoost's fee for?#
Google does not charge for a Google Business Profile. MapBoost's fee pays for our team's work on the profile, not for the profile itself. India: ₹2,499* per location per month. Europe: €49 per location per month + VAT where applicable. Rest of the world: $49 per location per month. *Plus GST (India). Our guide on whether Google Business Profile is free explains more.
Getting started and onboarding
From the free audit to our team starting work.
What are the steps from asking for a free audit to seeing my report?#
Four short steps. You open the free audit page, give your Google Maps link and a few contact details, and submit the form. A report on your profile is then built while you wait on the page, and WhatsApp is the fallback if it needs longer. Reading it commits you to nothing.
How do I find the Google Maps link the audit asks for?#
Search for your business on Google Maps, open your listing and use the Share option to copy the link. Paste that link into the audit form. Using your own listing means the report is about the right profile. If you are unsure which link is correct, contact us and we will help.
What does MapBoost need from me once I say yes?#
Mainly manager access to your Google Business Profile, so our team can do the work. We also set a brand voice for your business, which is used in replies and posts. You stay the owner throughout. If you are unsure about anything, ask on a call with us first.
How do I add MapBoost as a manager on my Google Business Profile?#
You open your profile's settings, go to the section for people and access, and invite us as a manager. Our team tells you exactly which address to invite, so you do not have to guess. Adding a manager does not transfer ownership. If you get stuck at any step, contact us and we will help.
Can I take MapBoost's manager access away once it has been added?#
Yes. You are the owner of the profile and can remove MapBoost as a manager anytime. Our work then stops, and you keep the profile. We would like you to stay because the work is useful, not because you cannot leave. Read more on our page for business owners.
What happens after I say yes to MapBoost?#
You add us as a manager and our team starts the routine: replies to your reviews, including old unanswered ones, a weekly post, fresh monthly photos, profile upkeep and rank checks. The weekly report then arrives on WhatsApp. You can see everything included on the pricing page.
Apart from reading the WhatsApp report, is there any weekly task left for me?#
No, there is no routine task for you. Our team writes the posts and replies, picks photos from a tagged library and checks your rank. The report is there for you to read. If you want to change how the business is presented, tell us and we will adjust. See what the weekly report contains.
Who do I contact at MapBoost with a question before I decide?#
Email growth@themapboost.com and our team will reply. If you would rather talk, the contact page lets you ask for a call. You do not need to start the audit first, but it is the quickest way to see what we would do. Go to our contact page.
I have several branches, so do I ask for one audit or one per branch?#
The audit form takes one Google Maps link, so it looks at one profile at a time. For several branches, you can ask for an audit for each, or ask us on a call how to handle all of them together. Each branch is one location. Contact us to plan it.
My Google Business Profile is suspended. Can MapBoost get it back?#
No. We cannot restore access to a suspended profile, because only Google decides that. What we can do is talk through your situation on a call, and start the managed service once your profile is live again and you can add us as a manager. Contact us and we will tell you honestly what is possible.
My profile is not verified yet. Can MapBoost start, and how do I verify it?#
Verification is between you and Google, and we cannot do it for you. Google shows the steps inside your profile. Once it is verified and you add us as a manager, our team can start. The free audit can still look at what is visible meanwhile. Read about profile optimization for what comes next.
I do not have a Google Business Profile yet. Can I still start with MapBoost?#
Yes, but a profile has to exist first, because there is nothing for us to manage until then. Creating one is free, and you remain the owner. After it is created and verified, you add us as a manager and our team takes over. Talk to us if you want help deciding the next step.
Reviews and replies
How reviews are answered, and what Google allows.
Will my review replies sound like me, or like a robot?#
They will sound like you. Replies are written in your voice. Negative reviews are handled by a person on our team. We set a brand voice for each business, so a reply to a thank-you note and a reply to a complaint both read like something you would say yourself. See how review replies work.
An angry customer posted a harsh one-star review. Who deals with it, and should we reply at all?#
Yes, a calm public reply is better than silence, because future customers read how you respond. Replies are written in your voice. Negative reviews are handled by a person on our team. You do not have to draft anything or argue online. Read more about handling negative reviews.
Does Google catch fake reviews by itself, and can MapBoost get one taken down?#
Google runs its own checks and removes some fake reviews, but not all. We cannot take any review down, because only Google can. What our team does is answer the review calmly in your voice so readers see a steady business. We never post fake reviews ourselves. Here is how review management works.
How do I report a Google review that breaks the rules, and will it come down?#
A review that breaks Google's policies, such as spam, a made-up experience or a conflict of interest, can be reported to Google. Google alone decides whether it is removed, and nobody can promise the outcome. Owners cannot delete reviews directly. Meanwhile a polite reply keeps your profile looking fair. See our review management service.
What happens to the old unanswered reviews already sitting on my profile?#
Our team goes back and answers them. Reviews that were left without a reply for a long time are included, not skipped, and every new review is answered after that. Someone reading your profile today sees the whole conversation, not a wall of unanswered comments. Learn about review replies.
How long and how formal should a reply to a Google review be?#
Short, warm and specific is best: a few plain sentences that thank the person and mention something from their review. Long, stiff or copied replies feel cold. Our team writes each reply in your own tone, so a casual cafe sounds casual and a clinic sounds careful. Read about how we reply.
Is it worth replying to a five-star review that only says great?#
Yes. A short thank-you shows the next reader that someone is paying attention, and it costs you nothing. Our team replies to praise as well as complaints, so every review gets an answer in your voice. You never have to think about which reviews deserve one. See what the service covers.
How do you learn my brand voice before you reply to anyone?#
We set the voice per business, with you, before replies go out. That covers how you greet customers, how formal you are and how you would handle a complaint. A salon and a law chamber should not sound alike, so no two businesses share one template. Learn more about our team.
Will MapBoost ever buy, write or filter my Google reviews?#
No, never. We do not buy reviews, write fake ones, hide the unhappy ones or send only happy customers to Google. The reviews on your profile come from your real customers, and our team only replies to them. That is also what Google's rules require. See how review requests stay honest.
Will asking for reviews work if my customers rarely use Google?#
It can, but a customer needs a Google account to post a review. Our review requests add-on sends a link by WhatsApp, SMS or QR code that opens the review box directly, which keeps the step short. We cannot promise how many reviews arrive. The add-on is priced on a call. Read about review requests.
Can I print a Google review QR code today without paying anything?#
Yes. Our free review QR code generator makes one from your Google Maps link, so a customer can scan it and land on your review box. It is a separate free tool, not part of the paid add-on, and you can use it even before we start work. Try the QR code generator.
Is there a free Google review link I can send to customers on WhatsApp?#
Yes. Our free review link generator turns your Google Maps listing into a direct link to your review box, ready to paste into a WhatsApp or SMS message. It costs nothing and does not need Business Profile access. Our team still answers every review that arrives. Open the review link generator.
Do Google reviews really change where my shop shows up on the map?#
Yes, in a modest way. Google looks at how well known and trusted a business seems, and reviews are one sign of that. Fresh reviews, honest ratings and visible replies all help. Nobody outside Google can say how much each one counts, so we do not claim a fixed effect. See our rank checks.
Can MapBoost tell me who wrote an unsigned Google review?#
No. Businesses only see what the reviewer chose to show publicly, usually a name and a profile photo, and our team has no extra view. Chasing a reviewer rarely helps anyway. A courteous public reply is the better answer, and our team writes it for you. See review replies.
Posts and photos
The weekly post and the monthly photos.
What does a Google post look like to someone scrolling Maps?#
It appears as a small card on your business profile, with a photo, a few lines of text and sometimes a button such as Call or Learn more. Customers see it in Search and in Maps while deciding where to go. Our team writes and publishes one every week. Read about Google posts.
How do you find something new to post about every single week?#
We start from your business: what you sell, the services you offer, your seasons and the photos we add. Each post is written in your brand voice around one simple point, so the profile keeps looking active without repeating itself. You do not have to come up with ideas. See our weekly Google posts.
What is the difference between an update, an offer and an event post on Google?#
An update shares news or a reminder. An offer is a deal, such as a festival discount, with a start and an end. An event has a date and time, such as a workshop or a match night. Offers and events stop showing after their dates. Details are on our Google posts page.
What decides which photo goes onto my profile this month?#
Our team picks from a tagged library of your own photos, where each one is labelled by what it shows. We look at what your profile is missing, such as the entrance, the inside, the team or the work, and choose photos that fill the gap instead of repeating. Learn about photo management.
Can I send my own photos, and will you actually use them?#
Yes. Photos of your premises, products, team and finished work are the best material, because they show customers the real place. Our team tags them and adds fresh ones to your profile every month. Photos should be sharp and well lit, in JPG or PNG. See how photo management works.
Should I worry that customers upload their own photos to my profile?#
Not much. Anyone can add photos, and many are fine, but an owner cannot delete them. A photo that breaks Google's rules can be reported. The best answer is a steady supply of good pictures from the business itself, which our team adds every month. Read about photo upkeep.
Does a Google post stay on my profile forever?#
No. Google decides how long a post shows, and newer posts push older ones down. Offer and event posts end on their dates. That is one reason we publish every week: there is always something recent for a customer to see when they open your profile. Learn more about weekly posting.
What will you never put in a post on my Google profile?#
Nothing that breaks Google's post rules, and nothing made up about your business. We do not post ads, copy your social media or write fake offers. Posts stick to what is true about you, in your brand voice. The weekly posting is included in the monthly price. See our simple pricing.
Why bother with fresh photos and weekly posts if my shop has not changed?#
Because customers judge from what they see before they visit. Recent photos and posts tell them the place is open and cared for, while an untouched profile can look abandoned. Our team handles the posting and photos, so you do not have to find something new to say. See what the service includes.
Rankings and reports
How we check where you show up, and what we send you.
What do relevance, distance and prominence mean for my shop?#
They are the three things Google weighs for local results. Relevance is how well your profile matches what someone searched. Distance is how far you are from them. Prominence is how well known and trusted you seem, from reviews, your details and your presence online. Our team works on all three. Learn about local SEO.
My cousin sees my shop first but I see it much lower. Is something broken?#
No, that is normal. Google shows different lists to people standing in different places, and distance is one of the factors. Someone near your counter sees you high up, while someone further away may not. That is why our team checks from many points across your area. See our rank checks.
What exactly do you check every week across my area?#
Our team looks at where your profile appears for the searches customers use, from many points around you rather than from one spot, and compares you with nearby competitors. Then we act on the weak areas. You do not have to read any rank charts yourself. Read about weekly rank checks.
Which numbers are in the weekly PDF on WhatsApp, and who is it for?#
It covers views, calls, direction requests and the searches people used to find you. It is written for a busy owner, so you can read it on your phone in a minute and forward it to a partner. It arrives without you asking. See the weekly report.
What does a direction request tell me that a profile view does not?#
A view means someone saw your profile. A direction request means they decided to come and tapped for a route, so it is closer to a walk-in. Calls work the same way. Views show interest, while calls and directions show intent. The weekly report lists all of them. Read about the weekly report.
Why did my views or calls dip this week when nothing changed?#
Numbers move for ordinary reasons: holidays, weather, exam season, a competitor opening nearby or a change on Google's side. One quiet week is rarely a trend. Our team looks at the pattern over time and acts if something keeps slipping. Nobody can promise a steady climb. See the weekly report.
Do Google's own profile insights show everything, or does the report add something?#
Google's insights show views, calls, direction requests and the searches that found you. Our weekly PDF puts those same numbers in one place on WhatsApp, so you need not go and look. Our rank checks across your area are separate work that we do ourselves. Read about the weekly report.
If you cannot promise a rank, what can I fairly expect from the checks?#
You can expect regular checking, a comparison with nearby competitors and action on the gaps, every week, without you lifting a finger. You cannot expect a promised position, because Google decides the order and it shifts. We say so plainly. See how rank tracking works.
Can a new competitor opening nearby push my business down the map?#
Yes, it can. Local results are comparative, so a new or newly active competitor can take attention from you in some areas. Because our team compares you with nearby competitors every week, we notice the shift and respond with profile work where it matters. Learn about rank checks.
Do calls and direction requests matter more than my map rank?#
For most owners, yes. Rank is a means, while calls and direction requests are customers actually reaching out. A good rank that brings no calls is not worth much. That is why we report both: where you stand across your area and what people did. See the weekly report.
How do I know what you did?#
Our team updates you every day in your own channel: what we did, new photos and posts with links, and any low rating flagged quickly so you can respond. Every week you also get a report with views, calls and direction requests from Google. See the daily updates and weekly report.
Can I use Slack or Google Chat instead of WhatsApp?#
Yes. Your own channel with our team can be on WhatsApp, Slack or Google Chat, whichever you already use. The daily updates and the direct line to the team work the same on each, so you can send us offers, events and new photos right in the channel. See how the channel works.
AI search visibility
How AI assistants mention a local business.
What does it mean when a customer asks ChatGPT for a good dentist near them?#
The assistant writes a short answer that names a few businesses, drawn from information it can find about them. AI search visibility means being named there, with your details correct. It is a newer way customers discover local businesses, next to Google Maps. Our team works on it. Read about AI search visibility.
Is my business even mentioned by ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity today?#
You will not know until someone asks the way your customers would. Our team does that, reads what each assistant says and notes whether you appear and whether the details are right. The free audit of your Google profile is a good place to begin. Start with a free audit.
What does your team check and improve for AI search?#
We check how ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity mention your business: whether you appear, and whether hours, services and other details are correct. Then we improve the information they can draw on, mainly your profile, and check again later. It is part of the monthly service. See our AI search visibility work.
Why would an accurate Google profile help an AI assistant get me right?#
Assistants build answers from public information, and your Google profile is one of the most complete public records of a local business. If hours, categories and services are wrong or thin, the assistant has little to work with. Our team keeps them right. See our profile optimization.
Will an AI assistant name my business every time someone asks?#
No. Each assistant decides its own answers, and the same question can bring different replies depending on who asks and when. Nobody can honestly offer a guarantee of being recommended. What our team does is make your information clear and accurate and keep checking. Read about what we do for AI search.
Are AEO and GEO just fancy names for SEO?#
Partly. SEO is about appearing in search results. AEO and GEO mean getting named inside answers that an assistant writes, so the aim is a mention rather than a link. For a local business the groundwork overlaps heavily, so we call it AI search visibility. See how it builds on local SEO.
How will I know whether my AI search visibility has improved?#
Our team checks what the assistants say before and after our work, so we can see whether you are mentioned and whether the details are right. We are honest that answers change and nothing is certain. Google's own numbers still arrive in your weekly PDF. Learn about the weekly report.
Is it too early for a neighbourhood shop to care about AI answers?#
Probably not, but it is no reason to panic. Customers still search on Google Maps, and AI answers draw on much of the same public information. The same accurate details serve both, so our team covers AI answers as part of the normal work instead of a separate project. See AI search visibility.
Do directory listings like Justdial and Bing matter for AI answers?#
They can, because assistants read public pages and consistent details in more places make a business easier to describe correctly. Nobody outside the assistants knows exactly what they use. Directory listings are an add-on priced on a call, and our team keeps them in sync. Read about directory listings.
Agencies and freelancers
Reselling the managed service under your own brand.
What does white-label mean at MapBoost?#
White-label: your brand on every report; our team does the work. Your clients see your agency's name on each weekly report, you set their price and keep the relationship, and our team stays behind the profile work. The client dashboard under your brand is launching this month. Read about white label Google Business Profile management.
Can a web designer or marketing freelancer add Google profile management to their packages by reselling MapBoost?#
Yes. Many freelancers add Google profile work as a monthly line item next to websites or content. You sell it under your own brand and keep the client and the margin, while our team does the weekly work. Pro: India: get a call. Europe: €169 a month + VAT where applicable; up to 5 profiles. Rest of the world: $169 a month; up to 5 profiles. Details are on the freelancer reseller page.
What is white label GMB management, and how is it different from reselling software?#
White label GMB management means our team does the Google Business Profile work and you present it as your own service. With software you still have to do the tasks yourself. Here, replies, posts, photos, upkeep and rank checks are done for your client. GMB is the old name of Google Business Profile. See the agency partner page.
How much does white label SEO cost when an agency resells Google profile work?#
It depends on scope, and prices vary widely between providers, so be careful with any single figure. MapBoost covers Google Business Profile work, not website SEO; Google Ads for the profile is an add-on. For Pro, India: get a call. Europe: €169 a month + VAT where applicable. Rest of the world: $169 a month. White-label is included, with up to 5 profiles. Start from the agency partner page.
Why is wholesale pricing for resellers agreed on a call instead of being listed?#
In India, because the right price depends on how many locations you plan to bring, so Pro is quoted on a call there. In Europe and the rest of the world Pro has a listed monthly price, shown with each region labelled on the pricing page. For larger books of clients, Enterprise is agreed with you directly. Ask via the contact page.
Whose logo is on the weekly report my reseller client receives?#
Yours. White label reports carry your own branding, so your client sees a report from your business and not from MapBoost. The report covers views, calls, direction requests and the searches people used. White-label is included in Pro. Read more on the white label agency page.
Who owns the client and the margin when an agency resells MapBoost?#
You do. The client relationship, the retail price you charge and the margin above your own cost stay with you. Our team works in the background. The client remains the owner of their Google profile, and MapBoost is added only as a manager. We do not set your client's price. See the freelancer page.
What access does a reseller's client have to give before MapBoost can start work?#
The client adds MapBoost as a manager on their Google Business Profile. They stay the owner and can remove that access at any time. We also need the basic business details, such as the Google Maps link, so our team knows which profile to work on. Start with the free audit.
What does MapBoost not do for resellers, so I do not oversell to my clients?#
We do not build websites as part of the base service, remove reviews, write or buy reviews, make ranking claims or change business names. Ads on Google that promote the profile are an add-on, with the budget paid straight to Google; social media ads are not something we run. Directory listings, review requests and a local website are add-ons priced on a call. See the agency partner page.
Is white labelling Google profile work legal in India?#
Reselling a service under your own brand is a common commercial arrangement, but we cannot give legal advice. Check your own client contract, tax position and Google's rules, and be honest with clients about what the service includes. The client always stays the owner of the profile. The terms of use explain how we expect our tools to be used.
What is a GMB expert, and can one use MapBoost to serve more clients?#
A GMB expert is someone who specialises in Google Business Profiles. Yes, an expert can resell MapBoost to take on more locations without doing every weekly task by hand. You bring the client and the advice, and our team does the recurring work. No one can honestly promise a ranking. See the freelancer reseller page.
Industries
How the work differs from one trade to another.
What actually changes between a restaurant's Google profile and a lawyer's?#
The categories, attributes, photos, services and the tone of review replies all change. A restaurant needs a menu and food photos. A lawyer needs practice areas and careful wording. The weekly routine of posts, replies, upkeep and rank checks is the same. Our team sets each profile up for its own trade. Browse the industries we serve.
Who decides my primary Google category and attributes, me or MapBoost?#
Our team suggests them from your own data and keeps them right as part of profile upkeep, and you can ask for a different choice at any time. You stay the owner of the profile and have the final say. We do not change business names. See the profile optimisation service.
What changes in the service for a business with no shop front, like a visiting electrician?#
The work is the same: replies, weekly posts, photos, upkeep and rank checks. What differs is how the profile presents the business, usually by its service area instead of a street address. Our team handles that setup and keeps it right. Google's own rules on service-area profiles apply. See the plumbers page.
My salon has branches in several areas: does each branch get its own profile work?#
Yes. One Google profile equals one location, and every location gets the full service: replies, weekly posts, monthly photos, upkeep and rank checks. Each branch is charged separately. India: ₹2,499* per location per month. Europe: €49 per location per month + VAT where applicable. Rest of the world: $49 per location per month. *Plus GST (India). Our team keeps each branch's details separate. See the salons page.
Should a clinic or law chamber check professional advertising rules before using a managed service?#
Yes. Medical and legal professionals in India have rules on how they may describe or promote themselves, and those rules change. Check current rules with your council or association. We do not give legal or professional advice, and our team keeps your profile factual. See the clinics page.
My business is seasonal. Is it worth keeping the Google profile active in the quiet months?#
It can be, because people still search before they plan a visit, and seasonal hours and offers need to be right when they do. You can also cancel anytime, and the service stops at the end of the month you have paid for. There are no partial refunds. See how this suits a hotel or stay.
I opened my business recently and have almost no reviews. Where does your team start?#
With a free audit of your profile, which shows what is missing today. Then our team builds the basics: correct details, photos, weekly posts and replies to the reviews you do have. We cannot promise how fast results come. Reviews must come from real customers. Start with the free audit.
I run a franchise outlet. Can my outlet's profile be managed without head office involved?#
It depends on who owns the outlet's Google profile and what your franchise agreement says about branding and listings. Check that first. If you own the outlet's profile, you can add MapBoost as a manager. One profile is one location. See how this works for a cafe outlet.
Which industries have their own MapBoost pages?#
Restaurants, cafes, salons, gyms, hotels, hospitals, doctors and clinics, dentists, physiotherapists, lawyers, plumbers, real estate agents, interior designers and sports venues each have a page that shows what the work looks like for that trade. The service itself is open to any business with a physical location. See all industries.
I run a trade nobody lists, like a tailor or a pet groomer. Will the free audit still work?#
Yes. The industry pages are examples, not a limit. The audit asks for your Maps link, business name, industry and city, and Google has categories for most local trades. Our team looks at your profile as it stands and tells you what is missing. No obligation. Start with the free audit.
Will review replies sound different for my trade, say a gym compared with a clinic?#
Yes. Replies are written in your voice. Negative reviews are handled by a person on our team. The brand voice is set for each business, so a gym can sound energetic and a clinic calm and careful. Replies should never reveal private details about a customer or patient. See review management.
Trust, access and safety
Who can see and change what, and what we will never do.
Can MapBoost lock me out of my Google Business Profile or take it over?#
No. You add MapBoost as a manager, you stay the owner, and you can remove our access at any time. Because Google's screens change, check the current steps in your own profile settings. Your profile belongs to your business. See the business owner page.
What level of access does MapBoost ask for on my Google profile?#
Manager access, which lets our team do the work: replies, posts, photos and profile upkeep. It does not make us the owner. You send the invitation from your own profile and choose when to end it. We ask for nothing beyond what the profile work needs. See the profile upkeep service.
How do I remove MapBoost's manager access from my Google profile?#
Open your profile's settings on Google, find the list of people with access and remove MapBoost. Google changes its screens from time to time, so follow the current steps there. It is your profile and your decision, and you do not need our permission. If you want a hand, write to us through the contact page.
How can I check who has access to my Google Business Profile besides MapBoost?#
As the owner you can open the people and access list in your profile settings on Google and see everyone who can manage it. It is worth checking now and then, whichever provider you use. Ask us if you want to confirm which access we hold. Questions are welcome on the contact page.
What can MapBoost change on my profile, and what can it never change?#
Our team keeps hours, categories, attributes, services, menu and booking links right, posts weekly, adds photos and replies to reviews. We do not change your business name, remove reviews or write reviews. Only Google can remove a review. Ads on Google that promote the profile are an add-on, with the budget paid straight to Google; social media ads are not something we run. See what we do.
Will MapBoost ever post fake reviews for my business?#
No. We do not write, buy, sell or filter reviews. Reviews should come from real customers, and fake ones can put your profile at risk with Google. Our team replies to the genuine reviews you receive. If anyone offers you fake reviews, walk away. See our review management service.
Does MapBoost use review gating, asking only happy customers for reviews?#
No. Google forbids selective review requests, and we do not build review gating. Where review requests are added as a paid add-on, customers are asked through WhatsApp, SMS or a QR code without screening who gets asked. Good and bad experiences are both asked about. See review requests.
Can your team delete a one-star review that I think is unfair?#
No. Neither we nor any business can delete a Google review. Only Google removes reviews, usually when they break its policies, and a business can report one it thinks is fake or abusive. What we do is reply, and a person on our team handles negative reviews. See review management.
What does MapBoost do with the details I type into the free audit form?#
The form collects your Maps link, business name, your name, WhatsApp number, optional email, industry, city and your consent. We use them to build your report, send it to you and contact you about it and about MapBoost. We do not sell your data. Read the privacy policy.
Who at MapBoost can see my business details and WhatsApp number?#
The MapBoost team sees what you give us, so that we can build your report and contact you. We do not sell your data. You can ask to see, correct or erase your details, or withdraw your consent, by emailing growth@themapboost.com. The full detail is in the privacy policy.
Is MapBoost connected to Google or an official Google partner?#
No. We are an independent managed service, separate from Google, that works on Google Business Profiles with the owner's permission and follows Google's own policies. Google My Business is the old name of Google Business Profile. Our terms of use ask users to follow Google's rules too.
What happens if Google suspends my profile while MapBoost manages it?#
Only Google decides, so we cannot promise a suspended profile will be restored. Tell us straight away at growth@themapboost.com and our team will go through what happened with you. Following Google's rules, with real reviews and accurate details, is the best protection. Reach us on the contact page.
Who do I email at MapBoost if something worries me about my profile or my data?#
Write to growth@themapboost.com. That one address covers questions about your profile, your data, billing and anything else. Please include your business name and the Maps link of the profile so our team can find it quickly. You can also use the contact page.
How do I fully stop MapBoost, including taking back access and my data?#
Cancel anytime and the service stops at the end of the month you have paid for. Then remove MapBoost as a manager in your own profile settings. To see or erase your details, email growth@themapboost.com. Your profile always stays yours. See the privacy policy.
How we compare
Managed service, software and agencies side by side.
Managed service, agency, software or doing it myself: which suits a one-shop owner?#
If you want the work done without learning it, a managed service fits best. Software needs your time every week, doing it yourself costs hours you may not have, and an agency often prices for bigger budgets. With MapBoost our team does the work. India: ₹2,499* per location per month. Europe: €49 per location per month + VAT where applicable. Rest of the world: $49 per location per month. See the business owner page.
What counts as GMB management services, and how is a managed service different from an agency?#
GMB management services cover the ongoing work on a Google Business Profile: replies, posts, photos, upkeep and rank checks. A managed service like ours does that one job at a published price. An agency usually bundles wider work such as websites, ads and social media, priced by quote. See our local SEO service.
Local SEO agency vs freelancer: where does MapBoost sit between the two?#
A freelancer gives personal attention but is limited by one person's hours. An agency gives breadth at a higher price. MapBoost is a team doing one defined job at a published price, and freelancers can resell it under their own brand. Whichever you choose, ask what is done weekly. See the freelancer page.
Does a Google Business Profile replace a website, or do I need both?#
A profile does not fully replace a website, but many local customers decide from the profile alone, and it is free to have. A website helps with detail and trust. A local business website is an add-on priced on a call. Our base service keeps your profile working. See local websites.
Why does a published price matter when I compare local SEO providers?#
It lets you compare like with like before you talk to anyone. Some providers keep their price behind a call, and BrightLocal's managed service shows no price on its pricing page. Ours is shown openly. India: ₹2,499* per location per month. Europe: €49 per location per month + VAT where applicable. Rest of the world: $49 per location per month. Only add-ons are priced on a call. See the BrightLocal comparison.
What should I ask any Google profile provider before I pay?#
Ask who does the work, what exactly is done each week, whether you stay the owner of the profile, how reviews are handled, how you can cancel, and what is not included. Be wary of anyone who offers fake reviews or promises rankings. You can see our answers through the free audit.
How do I compare quotes when one provider bills monthly and another charges for several months upfront?#
Work out what each quote covers and for which locations, then compare the cost for one location for one month, including any tax and add-ons. GST applies in India only. Check whether you can leave midway and what happens to the money. MapBoost bills monthly. See our Grexa comparison for a worked example.
What lock-in or cancellation terms should I watch for when hiring a local SEO provider?#
Watch for minimum terms, upfront payment for many months, automatic renewals and any claim over your profile or its content. At MapBoost you pay monthly in advance and can cancel anytime. The service stops at the end of the month you have paid for, with no partial refunds. See the pricing page.
How is MapBoost different from tools like Localo and BrightLocal?#
Localo is software that guides you through weekly tasks, and BrightLocal offers everything from self-service platform access to managed services. With MapBoost there is no platform for you to operate. Our team does the work and you receive the weekly report. We do not claim to be better for everyone. See the Localo comparison.
Which comparison page should I read first: Grexa, Localo, BrightLocal or Merchynt?#
Start with the one you are already considering. Grexa is the pricing-led comparison, Localo is software, BrightLocal ranges from self-service to managed, and Merchynt runs its Paige AI agent on your profile. Each page shows what we do and do not do. Begin with the Merchynt comparison if AI worries you.
